MARS RUNNER-UP AT RICE LAKE!
4, 2021) The Mars Racing team competed in one lone event
over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, as they headed to Rice Lake
Speedway in Rice Lake, Wisconsin on Saturday evening, May 29. The
Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series rolled into town to
preside over a $2,000 to win shootout.
Jimmy Mars, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, moved up three spots in his
heat race to finish in the runner-up position and later started
the 40-lap feature from the outside of the front row. With single-groove
track conditions leaving passing at a premium, Jimmy settled into
the second spot on the first circuit and eventually garnered a strong
runner-up performance behind only victor Pat Doar. Complete results
from Rice Lake Speedway can be accessed online at www.wissotachallengeseries.com.
Jimmy and his #28 team have one more event on their racing calendar
before the lucrative 'Dirt Late Model Dream' week at Eldora (OH)
Speedway. They will venture to Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain
City, Wisconsin today, June 4 for a Lucas Oil MLRA Series throwdown.
The 13th Annual 'RiverCity Rumble' will shell out a $10,000 payday
later this evening. More information on this race can be found by
