“Any time you can reach Cedar Lake victory lane, it’s definitely cool and something you cherish,” stated Mars following his 56th career Late Model win at the nearby speedway. “Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten to race a lot this year with the poor weather and being so busy with customer cars, but hopefully we can get out and start running a little more once the calendar flips to June. I’ve got to thank all of our great sponsors for their continued support, as well as my crew and the guys at the shop for their hard work and dedication!”

The Mars Racing team will enjoy the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend away from the racetrack, as Jimmy’s son Sam Mars celebrates his high school graduation. Next up for the team is scheduled to be a visit to Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin next Friday, June 3. The Dirt Kings Late Model Series will roar into MTS next weekend to sanction the ‘Stars & Stripes 40,’ which boasts a $5,000 top prize Additional information concerning this show can be found online by clicking on
